EVE Fitting Tool - UniWiki Wiki.eveuniversity.org EVE Fitting Tool, or EFT, is one of the most widely used 3rd party applications by players. It allows you to create and experiment with different ship fittings without the need to be in the game. Hi spacefriends! Creative cloud clearning tool for mac. With the expansion EVE Online: Ascension we introduced the new Fitting Simulation, an in-game fitting tool which is integrated into the fitting window. Fitting Simulation will let you engage more easily in the fitting meta-game and will help capsuleers, young and old, learn more about the ships they are flying or want to fly and the equipment they use. IMon is a EVE-Online character tracking tool for Mac OSX. Besides the basic character tracking it features a skill, item and ship planner. TODO list: - Skill planner - Ship planner - Item planner - (Ship fitting tool, in a while at leas). EVE Universe or a region map is a crucial tool. Some data just created for graphs but only a selection of their types should be used (line, bar and sometimes pie).
Pyfa is a really cool (and necessary!) external EVE fitting tool. What does that mean exactly? Basically it's a free program you can download and run seperately to EVE, that links all of your character's skills using their API key, and allows to fit every ship in EVE with any modules and fits you want, with full, easy to read statistics of how that ship will perform if you make it a real thing in EVE. Resistances, dps, speed, capacitor stability etc etc, it's all there for you to see without having to mess around in-game trying to calculate it all yourself.
Here's how to get started it setup in 2-3 mins!
(If you're using a mac or Linux OS, you're on your own here i'm afraid)

Look at the top of the Pyfa window and find 'Window > Character Editor. A small new window will pop up, this is where you enter the details to load your in-game character into Pyfa and this process only needs to be done once.

Step 6)
In the upper right corner of that new character editor window, click the little icon that looks like a piece of paper with a + symbol, write the name of your in-game character and click 'Create' in the upper right corner. Note: If you don't click create in the top right before entering anything else, your character name will just show as 'New Character'.

Step 7)
Now you need your character's API key which is how the program gets info about your character. Click here to go to the EVE API page > Login > 'CREATE NEW API KEY' on the right side of the page > Fill in the details, tick all of the boxes at the bottom to create what you've probably heard most corp calling the 'FULL API' > Tick 'No Expiry' > Click 'Submit' at the bottom of the page.

Step 8)
Almost done! You should now see your newly generated API, and you just need to copy/paste 2 pieces from the info infront of you into Pyfa, the KeyID and the vCode. Copy the numbers next to KeyID on the key you just generated and paste them into the KeyID field on the character editor in Pyfa > Then do the same for the vCode (Verification code) > Now in Pyfa just click 'Get Characters' at the bottom of the character editor window > Select your character > Click 'Fetch Skills' and it should confirm it's done that with some text at the bottom. Click ok and the character editor window will close.

Step 9)
Tada! Now you can start playing around with this awsome program! Just select a ship from the left side menu > Write a name for the fit > Click the 'Market' tab in the top left corner and select the modules you want to fit just like you would when buying mods from the in-game market! The fitting shows in the slots in the middle and the stats reflecting the fit are displayed on the right, aswell as an estimated cost for the ship and fit in the bottom right. Explore, play around with it and see what great fits you can make.

Step 10)
Once you've made a fitting, you need to upload it to EVE which is really easy. In Pyfa while looking at the fitted ship you want to import, just click 'Edit' in the top left corner > 'To Clipboard' > Go back to EVE Online and open the fitting window > Click 'Browse' in the bottom right corner of the in-game fitting window > 'Import from Clipboard' > Your fitting will pop up in a little window, save it and it will save to your list of in-game fittings.

And that's it! You should now be able to create much tighter and more capable fittings without needing to rely soley on fits made by others (as what works for someone else might not be what works for you!). If you got stuck somewhere here and need some help, you're welcome to contact Cpt JeanLucPicard directly or any other Vanu. pilot by joining our in-game public channel: VANU.
